Weren't you guys a Kickstarter project?
Oh yes! Tuna Knobs are 100% crowdfunded sweetness. Check here for our old campaign page, just for nostalgic reasons off course.
Do the Tuna Knobs work on my screen?
A Tuna Knob is essentially just a knob shaped stylus, so it should work with any current-gen capacitive touchscreen. We tested them on iPad (2g, 3g, Air and Air 2), iPhone (4, 4S, 5, 5S, 6) Samsung Galaxy Tab, HTC One M7, Dell XPS 27 All-in-One Desktop and many others with great results. A full compatibility list will come soon. And if it turns out that they don't work, head over to our next step:
I'm just not that happy with my Knobs.
No problem! Send an email to us at firstname.lastname@example.org and so we can talk you trough our return policy.
Which apps work with Tuna Knobs?
We tested Tuna Knobs with TouchOSC, Lemur, IL Remote, TouchAble, Korg iMS-20 and Korg iElectribe. As a general rule, the dials in the app need to be larger than 18 mm in diameter and need to expect a rotary signal. This last bit is important, otherwise the dials will register a signal but will behave quite strangely. The default setting differs between application and not all applications allow you to change this setting. TouchOSC, Korg iMS-20 and Korg iElectribe have a correct default setting. Lemur, IL Remote and TouchAble do not behave like this in default settings, but offer a setting for how dials behave, so make sure your settings are correct. As for other apps, if the app expects a signal according to the rule described above, they should work just fine.
I make apps. How can I make them work with Tuna Knobs?
Tuna Knobs redirect the electric charge from your hand to your screen and places it at a fixed distance from the axis. We have the technical footprint over here. Any software that wants to be compatible with Tuna Knobs should anticipate a circular signal at this radius. If you are still not sure how to make your app Tuna Knob compatible, check out the apps that already work with Tuna Knobs to see how they do it.
I ordered Tuna Knobs but haven’t received them yet, can I track my order?
We have tracking up to the Dutch border, there the package changes postal service, depending on the country. This does mean that tracking doesn’t work anymore from that point onward. Normally you can expect your Tuna Knobs to arrive in 5 to 15 working days, depending on your local postal service. Sometimes the package gets stuck in customs for no apparent reason. If you have been waiting for longer than the period mentioned above, please send us a message. In the future we might be able to get a proper deal with express shipping services, but right now the prices for trackable global shipping are simply too high.
I want to become a re-seller or distributor!
